I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida where I competed as a track and field athlete since age 5. I am part of generation Z and as such, I grew up during a period of great technological innovation. I often used Microsoft Office for school assignments which prepared me for its frequent use in professional settings. My hobbies include listening to music, physical activity, video games, and fishing.

In the spring of 2023, I obtained my bachelor's degree in English from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). I studied journalism there which was my first step towards expanding my horizon with my experience with writing and media. It was here where I learned of several methods of appealing to the audience such as short paragraphs, low word counts on titles, and the importance of visual communication.

I began my graduate studies at Arizona State University (ASU) Online in fall of 2023, almost immediately after finishing my undergraduate studies. I had no prior experience in the field of technical communication, so I was very nervous going into it. However, my previous experience with English and journalism prepared me and I hadn't realized it. Like I have previously, I researched, conducted interviews, used content management systems, and engaged in critical analysis. My time in graduate school is nearing its end, and I have dreams of becoming a professional technical communicator. I will see my dream to the end and use my skill set to create engaging content for my audience by implementing strategies that are tailored towards their needs.
